Anacristina Chapa D.D.S. was born and raised in Laredo, Texas. She graduated from the Honors Program at Texas A&M International University in her hometown with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. During her time as an undergraduate student, she worked as a dental assistant which gave her the opportunity to catch her first glimpse into the life of a dental professional. Inspired by providing care for her community, she decided to pursue a career in dentistry. Dr. Chapa attended The University of Texas School of Dentistry in Houston where she earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree with a certificate in Clinical Humanities. She is a member of the Hispanic Dental Association and the Houston Equality Dental Network. Growing up in the unique culture that a border town provides, it has always been Dr. Chapa’s goal to give back to the special communities that can be found in border cities along South Texas.
Dr. Chapa has a deep love for art, science, and medicine, and is very grateful to be able to combine all 3 in a unique way to help others. When she is not at work, she enjoys spending time with her twin sister and their 3 cats! In addition to being a dentist, she is also an artist, a poet, and a Netflix binge-watcher.
